Sizing, Solved. WEARFITS Virtual Try-On & Sizing Goes Live Today.
TL;DR. The feature footwear merchants have been asking us for, by name, for the better part of two years, ships today. WEARFITS Virtual Try-On & Sizing is now live. Early-access trial is open at wearfits.com/lp2/size-and-fit.
The most-requested feature in our roadmap, shipped
We have a folder called "asks." It is a Notion page our team started in late 2023 to log every recurring product request that came out of customer calls. By the time we closed it last month, one ask had been written into it 86 times, by 41 different brands.
"When are you going to tell my shopper which size to pick?"
The folder is closed because the answer ships today.
WEARFITS Virtual Try-On & Sizing is now live in early access. It is the feature our customers, our leads, our partners, our advisors, and — quietly — half of our competitors have been asking us about. We are proud of it. We are even prouder of the team that built it. And we want to share it the way it deserves to be shared: directly with the people who asked.
Why this is a big deal
The footwear industry has lived with a structural mismatch for a decade. Shoppers do not know what size to buy online. Brands do not know how to tell them. The compromise has been a size chart and a generous returns policy, and the cost of that compromise — billions of parcels a year going back to the warehouse — has been absorbed quietly into the unit economics of every shoe ever sold over the internet.
AR try-on solved one half of the problem. It let the shopper see the shoe on their foot. The other half — does this size, in this exact last, actually fit me — stayed open. Every brand we have ever onboarded has, at some point in the first three calls, asked us the same thing: "what about sizing?"
For two years, the honest answer was "we are working on it." Today, the honest answer is: it is live.
What launches today
In one canvas, in the shopper's browser, on any phone:
A photorealistic AR rendering of your shoe, on the shopper's actual foot. A thermal heatmap that shows them where the shoe presses and where it sits comfortably, in real time. A side-by-side size flick that lets them compare 42 and 42.5 without leaving the page. A fit verdict that names the size they should buy. And a measurement system — built around a 60-second phone-camera scan — that learns the shopper's feet once and remembers them forever, across every shoe in your catalogue.
One tap to open. One more tap to see the fit. One tap to add the right size to cart.
This is what our customers were asking for. This is what shipped.
What our customers told us they wanted
We are going to quote the asks directly, because they are the reason this product exists in the shape it does.
"I do not want a separate size widget. I want the size answer inside the AR view." — DTC footwear brand, 35,000 SKU catalogue
That is why the AR render and the fit verdict share a single canvas, not two panels stacked.
"Your AR is beautiful but my shoppers still bracket. Give us something that makes them stop bracketing." — European multi-brand retailer
That is why the side-by-side size flick exists. Shoppers who can see the fit verdict for two sizes in one view stop ordering both.
"My shopper does not want to scan their foot every time they look at a shoe." — Sustainable sneaker brand
That is why the scan happens once, runs in 60 seconds, and is remembered forever — across every brand catalogue using WEARFITS, in store and on web.
"Whatever you build, do not make it Shopify-only. We sell in seven places." — Performance footwear brand
That is why it ships as one integration across Shopify, mobile WebViews, marketing landing pages, and in-store mirrors.
We could have shipped a smaller version of this product 18 months ago. We did not, because every quarter the customer asks got more specific and more unanimous. We waited until we could ship the thing they actually asked for. Today we did.
What this changes for footwear brands
The math has not been a secret. Around 22% of apparel and footwear orders come back. Roughly three out of four of those returns are size-related. Every footwear CFO has a version of this number taped to a wall somewhere.
What changes today is that the lever to move it is finally in your toolkit. A combined AR + fit canvas, ready to drop into a Shopify PDP, with measurable before/after analytics, at a cost per SKU that makes catalogue-wide rollout pay back inside the first quarter.
WEARFITS is an AI-powered virtual try-on platform for footwear, bags, and apparel — web-first, no app download, deployable on Shopify, mobile WebViews, and in-store mirrors from one integration. WEARFITS Virtual Try-On & Sizing is the flagship product of that platform from today onward.
The team that delivered
Two years ago we made a quiet decision that the next thing we shipped would be the thing our customers were asking for, not the thing that would have been easiest to demo on stage. That decision cost us launches we could have had. We are glad we made it.
The credit list is long and we are skipping over half of it for space, but the headline is: an engineering team that rewrote our scene graph from the ground up; a 3D pipeline team that got the per-SKU cost down to a number our customers could actually buy; a product team that ran more than 200 shopper interviews before they were satisfied with the fit-verdict flow; and a small army of footwear merchants who let us run pilots on their PDPs and tell them honestly what worked and what did not.
"Usable virtual try on for our 3D products. It works fast, using any camera of a smartphone, even pointing to a mirror." — Alberto, Co-Founder, Capterra verified review, 15 April 2026
That review landed in April, before launch, after a long pilot. It is the one we keep coming back to, because it captures the thing we were trying to build: something usable. Not magical. Not loud. Just usable, fast, and right inside the buying moment.

Thank you
To the brands who told us, again and again, what to build — thank you. This launch is yours as much as it is ours. The folder is closed because you wrote it.
If you have been waiting for this, the waiting is over. If you have not been waiting, now is a good time to find out what your shoppers were quietly asking for.
